The more you perfect it, the more your recitation will improve. Though it’s not a must to master Tajweed, The advantages of learning it are myriad, including beautifying your recitation, avoiding Lahn/mistakes, and being more closer to Allah, following his commands in Quran in surah Al Muzzammil verse 6” “or a little more—and recite the Quran ˹properly˺ in a measured way”.
